About the Charlie Daniels Band
An outspoken patriot, a mentor to young artists, and still a road warrior at age 82, Charlie Daniels has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career.
Charlie recorded his self-titled solo in 1970, following several years as a successful songwriter, session musician and producer in Nashville. Two years later, he formed the Charlie Daniels Band and scored a top ten hit with “Uneasy Rider.” Since then, the Charlie Daniels Band has populated radio with memorable hits like “Long Haired Country Boy,” “The South’s Gonna Do It Again,” “The Legend of Wooley Swamp” and of course, their signature song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which won a GRAMMY® in 1979 and was named Single of the Year at the CMA Awards.
The band continues to play a full concert schedule, including occasional performances at the Grand Old Opry. “I love what I do,” says Charlie of his 60+ years in the music business. “I look forward to entertaining people. When showtime gets here, I’m ready to go. It’s a labor of love. I just thank God I make a living at what I enjoy doing.”
See the Charlie Daniels Band live on Saturday July 4th at 8PM, only at Margaritaville. Tickets start at $35 and are available at Ticketmaster or at the Margaritaville Retail Store.
